Mathew Hayman won Paris-Roubaix

What a race! And what a spectacular day for all true fans of cycling! ORICA-GreenEDGE and 37-year-old Mathew Hayman put up a dazzling display at the 114th Paris-Roubaix, winning the iconic ‘Hell of the North’ in a smart and powerful fashion.

Riding his fifteenth Paris-Roubaix, veteran Hayman managed to join the day’s breakaway group. On cobbles and mud, through the Arenberg forest and past the Carrefour de l'Arbre, Hayman and the breakaway riders pushed on relentlessly, eventually slimming down the front of the race to only five riders.

During the last kilometers, the leading quintet launched furious attacks on each other, with no rider really gaining the edge. Until the very last 100 meters at the famous outdoor velodrome in Roubaix, when Hayman used all his experience and stamina to thrust himself ahead to become the second Australian to win this coveted spring classic. At Craft, we are in awe of this magnificent performance – and of course overwhelmingly proud to outfit ORICA-GreenEDGE, one of the greatest teams in the world!
